Brief Profile

He is a physician with training in Public Health and Epidemiology. He is currently working as a medical scientist in clinical epidemiology division at ICMR- National institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad, India. His research interests are to build a platform to facilitate clinical, epidemiological, socio-behavioral, and interventional health research related to nutrition. He has built a Health, Nutrition and Demographic surveillance system (HNDSS) in the Addagutta area of Hyderabad with 15,000 population under surveillance. He is interested in evaluation of nutrition-related public health interventions and generating evidence for informed health decisions through primary or secondary data analysis. He is currently evaluating the impact of Iron fortified rice supplied through public distribution system and other social welfare schemes in India. He is also familiar with advanced data analysis techniques using different statistical analysis tools.
